THE CORE MINDSET SHIFT

The Rooted Philosophy

Students are taught what to learn, not how to learn.

True executive functioning is not about managing a child's assignments for them. It is about gently shifting from “doing for them” to building resilient, self-directed systems alongside them: transforming daily friction into lifelong independence and confidence.

EDUCATOR & ADVOCATE

Meet Isabella

For over a decade inside Massachusetts public school classrooms, I watched brilliant, capable students struggle under the weight of disorganized backpacks, missed deadlines, and overwhelming academic transitions. The breakdown was never about intelligence: it was about the invisible gap between what schools expect and what students have been explicitly taught to manage.

Evening battles at the kitchen table leave parents feeling like naggy wardens rather than supportive champions. I founded Rooted & Ready to bring a teacher's classroom insight and an advocate's empathy into your corner: building customized, sustainable executive functioning systems that restore peace at home.

LOGISTICS & DETAILS

Your Questions Answered

Direct, practical answers regarding session logistics, locations, and how we coordinate with existing school accommodations.

Where does coaching take place?

Coaching is offered in-home across the North Shore and Greater Boston areas, providing support directly in your child's natural study environment. For families outside our direct travel radius or those needing greater schedule flexibility, full-service virtual coaching sessions are also available via interactive video.

How long is a session, and how often do we meet?

Standard executive functioning coaching sessions run for 45 minutes once per week. This focused timeframe provides ample room for goal alignment, weekly planning, and habit practice without depleting your student's cognitive energy.

What if my student already has an IEP or 504 plan?

We actively review and align with existing IEP and 504 plans. Rather than duplicating school interventions, coaching bridges the gap between formal school accommodations and daily home routines, translating documented accommodations into actionable, independent habits.
